Here are five videos from Skrapan Öppen Scen where I played this summer. Unfortunately, the sound quality is kind of crap, but hopefully that won’t stop your enjoyment of seeing me botch the lyrics of my new songs and hearing babies cry from my music.

This was actually the first set of two I played that day, but at the first song of the second set a string snapped, making the rest of the set oh so much fun. The show must go on…

Café Deed tonight!

Don’t forget my gig tonight at Café Deed (Järnvägsgatan 8, 8 pm)! There’s no entry fee, so if you’re in the neighborhood, pop in, have a cup of hot java, and listen to my wailing for half an hour.
But if you can’t make it, I’ll have some videos up from the gig on Monday, hopefully.

Quick update on Monday’s gig

I was hoping to present a few videos with the two new songs I performed on Monday, but I’m sorry to say that there won’t be any video from the Monday gig due to poor sound quality from the recording. The guitar drowned the vocals on the songs, and it’s not something I can fix in post.

But I will definitely have some video from the gig on Saturday (Café Deed, Örebro, 20.00), so stay tuned for that! And if you’re in Örebro this weekend, see you there!

New website, new gigs. Fun times.

First of all, welcome to the new site! The sliding is pretty nifty, eh? Thanks to Figge for the design help and pixel pushing.

To celebrate the launch of the site, I have recorded My Dear for your enjoyment, so go start up the new player on the Tunes page that you probably already noticed, and then download the track from the Music page.

I also have two gigs coming up. The first is once again at Creative Liquid, at Saddle and Sabre (Tegnérgatan 9, Stockholm) this Monday, October 12th at 8 p.m. Once again I’ll debut two new songs there, so that will be lots of fun.

The second gig is back home in Örebro, where I’ll be playing a longer set (40 minutes or so) at Café Deed (Järnvägsgatan 8 ) Saturday the 17th at 8 p.m. I’m really looking forward to play all my new songs for some familiar faces, so show up if you can.

In other news, you might want to check out the Video page where I have some new videos up for your enjoyment, and I have a lot more videos planned for the future. Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel to instantly be notified on any new stuff. I’ll blog about anything new here as well, so you can (should!) also subscribe to my RSS feed to be updated.

Design in progress

The look for Musiqua.com has changed once again, now to something a bit more unique than a free, popular WordPress theme. Not everything is 100% ready, so there might be some kinks around.

To celebrate this new design, I’ve uploaded a few videos from one of the gigs mentioned earlier. So check them out in the fancy new video tab to the left of this one. Included are two new songs, My Dear and Is This Who I Am? Enjoy!

Upcoming gigs

Tomorrow (July 2nd), I’ll be playing two sets at Skrapan Öppen Scen (Götgatan 78, Stockholm). I, along with two other bands, will fill Södermalm with music from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.

I will also be playing at Creative Liquid, at Saddle and Sabre (Tegnérgatan 9, Stockholm) on Monday, July 6th. That starts at 8 P.M.

Two new songs will be debuted at these gigs, so be sure to come and be among the first to hear them! I’ll have more to share in the upcoming months, hopefully.

Pacemaker

My day job is at Tonium, the creator of Pacemaker. Pacemaker is a portable slightly-larger-than-an-iPod DJ-device that basically can replace two turntables, a mixer, and effects. This allows the DJ to step out of the booth and onto the dance floor to interact with the crowd directly.

To transfer songs to the Pacemaker we also have an editor, creatively named Pacemaker Editor. This editor also allows you to create and edit mixes. You can create a mix on the device, then transfer it to the editor to fix you inevitable mistakes, and then upload your finished work to our community at Pacemaker.net, a Youtube for mixes and their DJs.

But the editor has now turned into more than just an application for DJs. We’ve just released a new version of our software (for PC and Mac), where we’ve made the editor into a pretty good general music player. And since I’ve been a part of developing the editor, I’m promoting it here.

So go download it from here and try it out! There’s even iTunes integration, so you can easily import your iTunes library to test out little app.
